The goal of this project was to design a sports wheelchair. Focusing on a sport that is not in the Paralympic Games.
The task of this project was to include the innovative system of Reto Togni into a new context.
Ic'lhouette is a wheelchair specifically designed for people who can't participate in figure skating sport due to their physical conditions. Unlike other wheelchairs, this design frees the user to slide easily and have a better performance on the ice rink.
Visually draws inspiration by having a sporty, lighter and elegant wheelchair.
Offering the athletes to have a better experience and performance on the ice rink
PERSONA
How can I implement a mechanism that could help them slip better in the ice in order to make more movements?
DESIGN PROCESS
My target design language consists of the combination of smooth curves, geometric shapes and lines. I brainstormed with the words that remind me of figure skating. Creating an inspirational moodboard that would help me guide for the design of the wheelchair.
